Wow, it's been a while since one of these was posted to the site! I really didn't think an entire article was warranted for what I wanted to say, so I figured I'd try and revive the bi-weekly updates section for stuff that's just of moderate interest.

So, what's the point of this? Well, there have been a few goings-on recently that I think are worth mentioning, and I kind of wanted to sum them up all in the one place. Makes sense don't you think?

Firstly, I finally bit the bullet and purchased the chat addon for our forum. Really, it was about time, and the external chat service that we were using previously just wasn't working out - the software just has too many bugs in it to be useful. I'm debating whether to leave the link up or not, but I'll probably keep running the server itself for the forseeable future.

For some more exciting news, we've finally finished the first two chapters of the as-yet untitled "Niceguy Book". Myself and a few others have been working hard editing together assorted essays from this site to try and bring to life a real dead-tree version of NiceGuy's stories. In particular, many thanks to Bobby for his illustrations. If you'd like to download a preview, you can do that here.

So that's about all, and we'll see if the bi-weekly update section actually ends up becoming bi-weekly again!
